The homegrown carmaker's UV line-up consists of the highly-successful Vitara Brezza, Ertiga, S-Cross and the newly-launched XL6 premium MPV.
Maruti Suzuki is celebrating yet another achievement as it has crossed the million sales mark (cumulative) for its range of Utility Vehicles (UVs). The homegrown carmaker's UV line-up consists of the highly-successful Vitara Brezza, Ertiga & the S-Cross. The company has also claimed that during the first four months of FY 2019-20, it topped the UV sales charts by registering a market share of 25.46 per cent. Though not counted in these results, the recently-launched premium XL6 will further help Maruti Suzuki's UV segment flourish.
Sharing his thoughts on the achievement, Mr Shashank Srivastava, Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) at Maruti Suzuki India said, 'We thank our valued customers for their belief and support. In recent years, the company has strategically widened its utility vehicle portfolio matching customer demands...the recently launched XL6 reflects aspirations of urban individuals. We will continue to boost our relationship with customers by focusing to create products for them that offer best-in-class quality, features & technology.'
While the S-Cross and newly-launched XL6 are retailed via Maruti Suzuki's NEXA dealerships, the Vitara Brezza & Ertiga are sold through the brand's ARENA channel. After the XL6, Maruti Suzuki will take on the A-segment with the upcoming S-Presso hatchback.
