Maruti Suzuki Brezza Now Comes with Six Airbags as Standard; Prices Hiked
Apart from the new features, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza has a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an analogue instrument cluster, and an electric sunroof.

Maruti Suzuki recently upgraded the Celerio hatchback by introducing six airbags as standard. The popular Brezza SUV has also followed suit, now featuring a host of safety enhancements as standard. For those unaware, the Brezza is built on the Global C platform. It boasts a four-star safety rating from Global NCAP. In addition to the six airbags, the SUV now includes a 60:40 split-folding rear seat as well as adjustable headrests. Other enhancements for the base variant include a three-point seatbelt for the rear centre, front seatbelts that can be adjusted for shoulder height, and a rear centre armrest with cup holders. Following these updates, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza now carries a higher price tag, with prices starting at Rs 8.69 lakh and going up to Rs 13.98 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. The LXi variant has seen a Rs 15,000 increase, while the VXI and ZXI variants have gone up by Rs 5,500 and Rs 11,500, respectively. However, the top-of-the-line ZXi+ variant remains at the same price.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Powertrain Options

The Brezza comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine that produces about 102bhp of maximum power at 6,000rpm and 136.8Nm of peak torque at 4,400rpm. It is available with two transmission options: a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic.

The smart hybrid system allows for features such as idle stop-start, brake energy regeneration, and torque assist during acceleration. A CNG variant of the same engine is also offered, but with reduced output – 86bhp and 121Nm of torque – and is available only with the manual transmission.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Other Features
Apart from the newly introduced features, the Brezza comes equipped with a nine-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a multi-function steering wheel, a traditional analogue instrument cluster, automatic climate control, an electric sunroof, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, a four-speaker Arkamys sound system, and wireless phone charging.

Standard safety elements come in the form of electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX anchors. However, it lacks ADAS.
