Maruti Suzuki has brought back mild hybrid technology for the Brezza SUV. The ZXI and ZXI+ models of the new Brezza mild hybrid are the only ones that come with a manual gearbox. The price now begins at Rs 11.05 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.14 lakh (for the top-of-the-line dual-tone version). Both mentioned prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. For the uninitiated, the carmaker altered its Brezza range in July last year to take the mild hybrid technology out of the manual variants of the model. However, the technology has been recently reintroduced by the firm on the higher-spec versions. Following this, the claimed fuel efficiency of the ZXI and ZXI+ variants of the Brezza manual has increased to 19.89km/l with the incorporation of mild hybrid tech. It earlier stood at 17.38km/l. Meanwhile, the fuel efficiency figures for the base models that do not receive mild hybrid tech remain the same.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Variants and Powertrain
The Brezza comes in four core variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. The 1.5-litre naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine of the SUV is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission, providing the same mechanical stability. The petrol mill puts out 102bhp of maximum power and 137Nm of peak torque. The automaker also offers the Brezza with a factory-fitted CNG kit, although it lacks an automatic option and mild hybrid tech. This unit generates 86.6bhp and 121.5Nm of torque and is coupled to a 5-speed manual transmission only.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Appearance
The Global C/Tect platform is the foundation of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Its length and width are therefore 3,995mm and 1,790mm, respectively, and it sits on a 2,500mm wheelbase. This variant is taller than the Tata Nexon, standing at 1,685mm. Strong wheel arches, wide skid plates, a flat bonnet, and simple yet elegant headlights are some of the stylistic cues.
Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Features and Rivals
The interior of the SUV is adorned in a dual-tone theme: black and brown (all-black for LXi and VXi variants). The instrument panel, steering wheel, and a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system are all comparable to those found in the Baleno. Furthermore, higher trim levels include Suzuki-connected car technology, an Arkamys surround sound system, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a heads-up display, and other amenities. The car comes standard with dual airbags and ABS. However, the top-spec model offers six airbags. Hill-hold assist, electronic stability control (ESC), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages are several other safety features.
When it comes to the market competitors, the Hyundai Venue, the Tata Nexon, the Kia Sonet, the Mahindra XUV300, the Renault Kiger, the Nissan Magnite, and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx are some of the vehicles that go up against the Brezza SUV in India.
