Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a CNG powertrain in all the variants of the Brezza.
Maruti Suzuki will soon bring the Brezza CNG to the market. Reportedly, Maruti Suzuki showrooms have started getting the CNG version of the compact SUV, which means that its launch is near. Recently. the new model was spied on at a dealership, revealing that the CNG kit has been fitted in the boot space, which, of course, means that the boot space of the SUV will be compromised, especially in comparison to the regular model. In terms of exterior and interior designs, the Brezza CNG will remain unchanged.
The upcoming CNG variant will use the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as its petrol sibling, although it'll develop less power and torque in CNG mode, at 87bhp and 121.5Nm, respectively. The engine will be paired with a five-speed manual gearbox.
Maruti Suzuki rolled out CNG versions of the Baleno and XL6 models at ₹ 8.28 lakh and ₹ 12.24 lakh, respectively. The new Brezza CNG is expected to be ₹ 60,000 to ₹ 70,000 more expensive than existing petrol-based models, which means that it will have a starting price of under ₹ 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
