Earlier this year, Maruti Suzuki had announced a hike in the prices of their car range upto Rs. 20,000 and now the car manufacturer has announced another price hike. Maruti is all set to hike prices of its entire range of cars by up to Rs 10,000, depending on the model and the fuel type.

The hike will be effective from October 1. Maruti Suzuki cited rising input costs and the dimishing rate of the Indian rupee in the past few months as reasons for the price increase.

Hyundai India has already announced a price hike and so has Ford, GM, Toyota and Mahindra. Tata Motors is yet to announce a hike in price but we expect them to do that soon.
