Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Becomes Safer with 6 Airbags as Standard; Prices Start at Rs 4.23 Lakh
The Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 is now equipped with 6 airbags as standard across all variants. With this, the price of the hatchback has seen a hike of up to Rs 16,000, depending on the variant.

After updating the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Brezza, the Indo-Japanese automaker has now equipped its micro hatchback, the Alto K10, with six airbags as standard—a significant upgrade from the previous dual airbags. Along with six airbags, the Alto K10 also has several enhanced safety features, including 3-point seat belts for rear passengers. Additional key features include luggage-retention crossbars, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), an Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), and rear parking sensors. Following the safety upgrades, the price of the Alto K10 has increased by Rs 16,000, making it the second price hike for the hatchback in just one month. The first hike, which took place on February 1, 2025, saw prices rise by up to Rs 19,500. Let’s take a closer look at the revised prices of the hatchback in India.

Maruti Suzuki Alto: Engine
Buyers can choose between petrol or CNG power for the Alto K10. The 1.0-litre engine in the petrol version generates 68bhp and 91Nm of torque, while the same unit running on CNG produces 56bhp and 82Nm of torque. The petrol variant comes with a choice of a 5-speed manual transmission (MT) or a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT).

In terms of fuel efficiency, the petrol model delivers a claimed 24.39km/l with the MT and 24.90km/l with the AMT, while the CNG version offers an impressive 33.40km/kg.
Maruti Suzuki Alto: Features Onboard
The micro hatchback offers a 7-inch touchscreen, manual AC, semi-digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, 4-speaker sound system, front power windows, and steering-mounted controls. It’s equipped with a rear child lock, seat belt reminders, an engine immobiliser, a high-mounted stop lamp, and front seat belt pre-tensioners.
