Maruti Suzuki is all set to blow horns with the Hyundai i20 with its new premium hatchback, Baleno. Unveiled officially at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Baleno has a powerful stance with its sleek lines and sporty profiles. In terms of dimensions, it is 3995mm long, 1745mm wide, 1,460mm high and has a wheelbase of 2520mm. It is expected to be launched on October 26 and will be sold exclusively through the Nexa line of premium dealerships.
In terms of engine options, one gets to choose between a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 84 PS of power and a 1.3-litre diesel motor that churns out 75 PS.

Baleno Sigma
The entry level Sigma variant won’t be devoid of safety features. It comes with dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. Further, you get front power windows, central locking, tilt steering, and gear shift indicator.
Baleno Delta
In addition to the above features, the Delta variant of the Baleno comes packed with automatic AC, rear washer and defogger, rear parking sensor, steering mounted controls, Bluetooth and power windows (all four). Buyers may opt for CVT with this particular variant of the Baleno.
Baleno Zeta
The Zeta variant includes telescopic steering, leather-wrapped steering and gear knob, LED daytime running lights, alloy wheels and height-adjustable driver seat among other features.
Baleno Alpha
And finally, the top-of-the-tier Baleno Alpha trim comes equipped with rear-parking camera, projector headlamps and SmartPlay infotainment system.
