Mahindra XUV.e9 EV Spotted Testing Again in India; Shows Large LED DRLs
The Mahindra XUV.e9 may come equipped with wireless charging, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, a sunroof, and Level 2 ADAS, among other features.
A near-production test mule of the Mahindra XUV.e9 has been seen testing in India, with a front face dominated by twin-edge boomerang-shaped LED DRLs. Its headlamps are positioned vertically and are not attached to a main light bar. A radar module for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) is placed in the lower part of the bumper, whereas the front number plate sits at the top. Other striking features include a distinctive sloping roofline, curved LED taillights, a rear spoiler with a built-in stop light, squared-off wheel arches, a shark-fin antenna, and a rear parking camera with sensors. Mahindra XUV.e9: Interior
As of now, there are no interior photos. Previous spy images, however, suggest that the coupe will resemble its upcoming electric counterpart, the XUV.e8. Its dashboard will presumably be similar to the XUV700 but with three displays: a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the front occupant and two other 10.25-inch horizontal screens. The electric coupe is also expected to come with a new two-spoke steering wheel, wireless charging, ambient lighting, a fully digital instrument panel, a sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and Level 2 ADAS.
Mahindra XUV.e9: Mechanical Specifics
Although Mahindra hasn't disclosed technical details, industry rumours suggest that the XUV.e9 and the XUV.e8 will have similar underpinnings. The XUV.e9's higher-spec version is expected to have two motors, an 80kWh battery, and an all-wheel drive, with power outputs ranging from 227bhp to 345bhp. The anticipated range for the all-electric Mahindra vehicle is up to 450 kilometres.
