Mahindra's new SUV – the XUV700 – has already received 65,000 bookings within two weeks. Also, the brand has confirmed the delivery timeline for the new SUV.
On the very first day, Mahindra received 25,000 bookings for the new XUV700 within an hour, followed by another 25,000 bookings on the second day. And now, Mahindra has reported that the XUV700 has surpassed the 65,000 mark.
The brand has also confirmed that deliveries of the petrol variant of the Mahindra XUV700 will begin from October 30. The diesel buyers will have to wait a month longer, for Mahindra will commence the deliveries of the diesel-powered XUV700 by November 2021.
Interestingly, Mahindra hiked the prices of the XUV700 after receiving the first 25,000 bookings, which was followed by the introduction of two new variants in the SUV’s line-up. Currently, the Mahindra XUV700 retails between Rs 12.49 lakh and Rs 22.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The petrol variant of the XUV700 is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol motor, whereas the diesel model gets a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine. Both get a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, with an optional six-speed torque converter automatic. The diesel variant gets an all-wheel-drive setup, while the petrol variant only gets a front-wheel-drive setup.
The petrol variant of the XUV700 produces 197bhp and 380Nm, while the diesel variant is good for 182bhp and 420Nm, and the diesel automatic variant produces 450Nm of torque.
