The much anticipated variant of the XUV500 was launched in the Indian market today with six variants and price starting from Rs. 11.21 lakhs.
Mahindra and Mahindra launched the new XUV500 in the Indian market today. The new XUV500 includes a new and fresh front and rear bumpers, grille, headlamp cluster, fog lamps and alloy wheels. New interiors make the car look much better than the previous one thanks to the better plastic quality and a larger 7” touchscreen infotainment system. The screen also works as a display for the reverse parking cameras. The top end variant gets power adjustable driver’s seat, sunroof and the keyless entry. Other features include things like an engine start-stop button, updated navigation system and 17-inch alloy wheels. However, most of the these features are available in only the top end variant W10.
The car is still powered by the 2.2-litre engine which produces 138bhp of power and 330Nm of torque which is now tuned to provide a more linear power delivery. Addition of brake regeneration to the powertrain has resulted in increased fuel efficiency. Mahindra claims that the new XUV500 will deliver a fuel efficiency of 16km/l as compared to 15km/l the previous version used to deliver.
