The test drives for the new Mahindra XUV400 will commence in December, with bookings and deliveries following in January 2023.

In September this year, Mahindra unveiled its new electric SUV, the XUV400. Now, the firm has recently showcased a brand-new XUV400 OneOfOne limited edition. Interestingly, automotive designer Pratap Bose collaborated with acclaimed fashion designer Rimzim Dadu to develop this special edition.

The unique XUV400 model was revealed at Season 6 of Mahindra Automotive's Tech Fashion Tour. This special iteration highlights fashion with fabrics as the key component. The twin-peaks copper-hued Mahindra insignia receiving a blue outline and the "Rimzim Dadu X Bose" logo on the windshield and other external features all contribute to the fabric-inspired motif.

The interior of the new SUV sports new upholstery created by Rimzim Dadu, including black leather seats with copper stitching, a dash of blue inlays, a duffle bag, side bags, and blue steel wire cushions in the rear, as well as branding that reads 'Rimzim Dadu X Bose' all over. The upholstery of the cabin matches the interior's vivid Arctic Blue colour. Moreover, the Special Edition will likely come in three variations-Base, EP, and EL.

The Special Edition XUV400 has no mechanical enhancements. For the uninitiated, A front-mounted electric motor, powered by a 39.4kWh battery pack is included with the Mahindra XUV400. It is stated to have 310Nm of peak torque and 150bhp of maximum power. The e-SUV is touted to have a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 8.3 seconds, making it the fastest in the segment. On a single charge, it will have a certified range of 456 kilometres. The XUV400's battery can be charged from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes using a 50kW fast charger. Further, it has three driving modes-Fun, Fast, and Fearless.

When it launches, the XUV400 will compete with the likes of the MG ZS EV, Tata Nexon EV Prime, Hyundai Kona Electric, and Tata Nexon EV Max
