Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Design Updates

2024 Mahindra XUV400 Alloys Spy

Starting with the overall appearance, the XUV400 facelift is expected to maintain precisely the same general silhouette as the previous generation model. The right front and rear doors do, however, have two squarish bulges that observers with keen eyes can see. There probably won't be any major modifications made to the actual door panels. Moving ahead, there is a sharp front to the test mule because of its flat nose and bonnet. Particularly in terms of how the slender DRLs reach below the main unit, the headlights appear to be inspired by the XUV700. Other design elements like a reworked front bumper, as well as an updated front grill, are also present.

The fresh aero-styled five-spoke alloy wheels, which were also present on the test mules of the new XUV300, are seen in these shots. Given that the mule has a similar body shape, with cuts and creases, it will probably keep its recognisable side appearance. Although the rear end remains to be seen, based on spied photos of the camouflaged XUV300, the XUV400 may also receive an upgrade with a connected LED tail light arrangement.

ADAS Tech

2024 XUV400 ADAS Sensor Spy

Regarding the most anticipated features of the Mahindra XUV400, the spy photos hint that ADAS will be standard. This is evident from the photos that there is a covering over the front half of the roof. It is most likely an ADAS sensor. Interestingly, the 2024 XUV400 will be the first EV sub-compact SUV in the nation to have this convenience and safety function if the manufacturer decides to market this model with ADAS.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Expected Features

The manufacturer may provide the facelifted XUV400 with a modern dashboard to update the cabin. Larger displays and new seat upholstery are probably on the cards as well. It is anticipated that the revised XUV400 will receive the same feature upgrades as the 2024 iteration of the XUV300, including wireless phone charging and ventilated front seats. Besides this, already present features such as auto air conditioning, a bigger single-pane sunroof, wireless charging pad, and connected car technology are expected to stay in place.

To ensure the safety of passengers, Mahindra is expected to equip the redesigned electric SUV with a 360-degree camera, electronic stability control (ESC), and six airbags.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Battery Pack and Performance

We anticipate significantly better range numbers from the new Mahindra XUV400, even though it will probably retain the same battery pack options i.e. 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh as the present-generation model. As of now, the stated range of the EV stands at 375-kilometre and 456-kilometre, respectively. The power output for battery packs is the same at 150bhp along with 310Nm of peak torque.

Mahindra XUV400 Facelift: Launch Timeline

Speaking of the car's launch time, Mahindra will probably roll out the facelifted XUV400 in the second half of 2024. As for its expected cost, it may command a little higher price than that of the existing model.
