Mahindra XEV 9e Deliveries Commence in India; Prices Start at Rs 21.90 Lakh
Built on the INGLO platform, specifically designed for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), the Mahindra XEV 9e is available with two battery pack options.

Mahindra has begun delivering the top-tier Pack Three variant to customers, while the Pack Two models are expected to be delivered to buyers by July this year. The entry-level Pack One and Pack One Above versions are scheduled for deliveries in August, and those who opted for the Pack Three Select can anticipate receiving their vehicles by June. The SUV can be purchased at an ex-showroom price ranging from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 30.50 lakh. Offered in eight exterior paint jobs, the available options include Gold Dawn, Stealth Black, Tango Red, Desert Myst, Deep Forest, Everest White, Nebula Blue, and Ruby Velvet.

The XEV 9e has 207mm of ground clearance and a battery clearance of 222mm. With an overall length of 4,765mm, the XEV 9e offers a best-in-class rear cargo capacity of 663 litre, further enhanced by a 150-litre front trunk, adding to its practicality.
Mahindra XEV 9e: Battery Pack
Built on the INGLO platform, specifically designed for battery electric vehicles (BEVs), the XEV 9e is available with two battery pack options – 59kWh and 79kWh – paired with two motor variants producing 228bhp and 282bhp, respectively. This rear-wheel-drive (RWD) SUV offers different performance levels for varying driving preferences. The 59kWh battery is matched with the 228bhp motor, while the 79kWh battery is coupled with the more powerful 282bhp motor. Despite the difference in power output, both configurations generate 380Nm of torque.

The larger battery enables the XEV 9e to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 6.8 seconds. In terms of range, the 59kWh battery delivers up to 557 km, while the 79kWh pack extends the range to 656 km. Additionally, with a 140kW DC fast charger, the battery can be recharged from 20% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.
Mahindra XEV 9e: What's Inside?
Coming to the features, the XEV 9e comes with a triple-screen setup, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Infinity logo. It also features a panoramic glass roof, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), front parking sensors, an NFC key, and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat. Additional conveniences include dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, an auto-dimming IRVM, an AR-based head-up display, rear AC vents, two cupholders, and a 1400-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 16 speakers.

In the competitive landscape, the XEV 9e rivals the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Atto 3, and the soon-to-be-launched Tata Harrier EV.
