Mahindra will unveil its two new electric SUVs on November 26 at the 'Unlimit India' event in Chennai. Based on the company's new INGLO architecture, the two upcoming born-electric SUVs – the 9e and the 6e – will be available through two new sub-brands – XEV and BE. While the specifics of the SUVs are under wraps, the modular electric skateboard platform – the INGLO – will feature Volkswagen MEB components and be used to make SUVs ranging between 4,368mm and 4,735mm. Per Mahindra, the platform will offer 'intuitive, intelligent, and immersive innovations', ensuring 'class-leading' safety standards, 'exhilarating performance', and 'impressive range'.

Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6e: What to Expect?
The Mahindra XEV 9e will be an all-electric luxury coupe-SUV, while the BE 6e will be a grounds-up electric SUV delivering 'bold, athletic performance'. Mahindra has yet to reveal the battery and powertrain details; however, it is not unknown that Mahindra's in-house INGLO skateboard platform supports 60kWh and 80kWh battery packs, fast charging capabilities of up to 175kW, and a combined range of up to 500 kilometres. Plus, the architecture is suitable for both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations.
We expect the Mahindra XEV 9e to be available in a single RWD setup, while the BE 6e could be offered in both RWD and AWD guises. The latter will be positioned above the XUV400 EV and rival the Tata Curvv EV, MG Windsor EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki eVX. Upon arrival, it will likely be 4,370 mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,635mm tall. The wheelbase could sit at 2,775mm. The interior should include twin integrated displays, a large insert on the centre console, and electrically adjustable front seats.
Coming to the XEV 9e, the Mahindra's coupe-SUV will likely be equipped with three screens (a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the front passenger and two 10.25-inch horizontal displays), a two-spoke steering wheel, drive mode selector lever, powered seats, and semi-leatherette seat upholstery. The vehicle may also get a fully digital instrument panel, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting. For safety, there will likely be six airbags (as standard), adaptive cruise control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and lane-keep assist.
