The Mahindra TUV3OO is expected to be priced in the range of Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs.9 lakh. Mahindra's new compact vehicle will be powered by the m-Hawk 80 engine.
The launch of Mahindra’s newest compact vehicle, the TUV3OO is now around the corner on the 10th of September, 2015. And some dealers have already started accepting bookings for the vehicle. Depending on locations, booking amounts for the new Mahindra TUV3OO begin in the range of Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000.
The new TUV3OO is said to be based on an all-new platform by Mahindra and is styled to have an SUVesque stance. The vehicle gets a lot of boxy design cues in the form of horizontal and vertical lines. Mahindra has worked on detailed design elements to make the vehicle look contemporary. The wheels in fact are 17 inch ones, which is what the Scorpio also runs. This is a bit of a surprise considering the compact dimensions of the Mahindra TUV3OO that will measure in less than 4 meters in length.

It will be powered by a 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine. This is likely to be the same unit that does duty currently in the Mahindra Quanto compact MUV. The three pot oil burner develops a maximum power output of 100 bhp @ 3,750 rpm and a peak torque output of 240Nm @ 1,600 rpm. In the TUV3OO the engine will be badged as the m-Hawk 80.
In the TUV3OO, the engine will be mated to a five-speed manual gearbox while there will also be the option of a five-speed automated manual transmission.
Inside, expect a more modern design as compared to the Quanto’s. It is also likely to share a few bits with other Mahindra models. `Like the Quanto, the TUV3OO will come with a five plus two seating arrangement that will incorporate two jump seats at the back. The Mahindra TUV3OO is expected to be offered in three variants, namely, T4, T6 and T8. The T4 will come with black bumpers, the T6 will get body coloured door handles, ORVM casings and bumpers. The top-end T8 will get alloy wheels.
Expect the Mahindra TUV3OO to be priced between Rs. 6.5 lakh to Rs. 9 lakh (ex-showroom).
