The long wheelbase TUV goes official with a 120bhp diesel engine and seating for 9 people.
After being leaked on the web a numerous number of times, the Mahindra TUV300 Plus has finally been launched in India. The extended TUV is priced at ₹9.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
The TUV300 Plus is available in three specifications - P4, P6 ans P8. It is powered by the proven 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine from the Scorpio which produces 120bhp of power and 280Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Eco Mode and Mahindra’s Micro Hybrid technology also come standard.
The interiors remain largely the same to the standard TUV300, however, that additional length makes the Plus model capable of seating up to nine people. The cabin also comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with GPS. On the safety front, the TUV300 Plus offers dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard.
According to Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales and Marketing - Automotive Sector, Mahindra, 'The TUV300 has enjoyed a successful run since its launch in September 2015, with close to 80,000 vehicles on road. We are now pleased to introduce the TUV300 PLUS for customers who are looking for a true-blue SUV with more space & more power. The TUV300 PLUS will appeal to buyers looking for an SUV that compliments their aspirations and lifestyles'.
