The upcoming Mahindra Thar has been spotted again before its expected launch on this Independence Day. The most recent spy pictures reveal the colour options for the 5-door SUV, which may go by the name 'Thar Armada'. As you can see, the test mules are covered, but the small openings provide a peek at the SUV's paint options, which include red, white, and black. Interestingly, these spotted paint jobs resemble those offered for the 3-door model. While there has been no official announcement, the SUV is expected to get Galaxy Grey and Aquamarine exterior colour options, which are currently offered on the 3-door variant.
Mahindra has not yet disclosed the official launch date of the Thar Armada, but industry rumours suggest that unofficial bookings for the SUV have begun at select dealerships. As the SUV appears to be available in our market soon, we'll look at some of its possible specifications.
Mahindra Thar Armada: Exterior and Interior
The Mahindra Thar 5-door will feature reworked bodywork, updated LED tail lamps, and circular LED headlights with new daytime running lights and new alloys, according to several previous spy images. It will retain the boxy look but have two extra rear doors and a longer wheelbase than its 3-door sibling. The SUV could get a fixed metal top.
Inside, the SUV will sport a larger free-standing touchscreen infotainment system and a reworked dashboard with a digital instrument console, based on the previous spy images. It is expected to include manual day/night IRVM, connected car features via AdrenoX, a rear centre armrest, dual-zone climate control, button start-stop, and electrically retractable ORVMs.
Mahindra Thar Armada: Safety Suite
The safety kit for the Mahindra Thar Armada will likely consist of six airbags, a 360-degree surround vision system, and front parking sensors. There could be an ADAS on offer, featuring adaptive cruise control, driver drowsiness alert, and automatic emergency braking.
