A fresh spy footage of the Mahindra Thar in its five-door guise is floating on the internet. Currently, the 3-door offroader version is on sale in the market. However, it will soon have its 5-door counterpart. According to the new teasers, the new Thar was camouflaged but showed body panels, alloy wheels, running boards, and LED taillights. It revealed to have a fixed rear glass window that hinged along the top. Further, it also appeared to sport a rear wiper behind the spare wheel, which is affixed to the tailboard, just like the upcoming 5-door Jimny. It is not the first time that the Mahindra Thar spied testing on roads. A range of spy shots of the 5-door variant has leaked earlier too. According to those spy pictures, the Thar will sport rear door handles situated on the C-pillar. Further, it will presumably include circular halogen projector headlights, similar to the 3-door version. Let's learn more about the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door, which is expected to launch in early 2024.

Several industry reports suggest that the 5-door Thar will have an upper hand in India over the new Jimny in terms of multiple engine options. It will also probably have a longer wheelbase than the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
