Two brand-new vehicles were unveiled to the public at the August 2023 Mahindra event in South Africa: the Mahindra Global Pik Up and the Mahindra Thar.e (also known as the Thar EV). The Indian auto major has now patent-protected the design of the Mahindra Scorpio N-based pickup, shortly after it did the same for the electric Thar concept car. The version displayed at Mahindra's event in South Africa can be seen in the patent filing image. It has the same LED DRLs and headlight clusters, a redesigned grille, a high snorkel on the driver's side, and a set of extra LED lights. The alloy wheels, side steps, and winch installed on the front bumper are all identically designed. Other key details about the Mahindra Global Pik Up, including its features and off-road capabilities were already revealed at the time of its global debut.

Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up: Mechanical Specifications
An improved version of the MHawk 2.2-litre turbo diesel engine powering the Scorpio N will drive the Global Pik Up concept. This unit is good enough to churn out a maximum power of 170bhp and a peak torque of 400Nm. Furthermore, the 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT transmission options will be available on the new Global Pik-Up. Apart from the fact that it would include an all-wheel-drive (4WD) system for off-roading, the manufacturer has not yet released any other technical information regarding the pickup.
Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up: Features
On the new Pik Up, drive modes such as Zoom, Zap, and Zip will be available. Also, there will be other amenities such as a single-pane sunroof, semi-automated parking, and 5G connectivity. The car incorporates multiple safety features, including All-Around Airbag Protection, Drowsy Driver Detection, Trailer Sway Mitigation, Level-2 ADAS, and more.
Mahindra Scorpio N Pik Up: Design Cues
While the Scorpio N Pik Up's interior provides comfort and plenty of space, its exterior is made to withstand harsh conditions. The aggressive front profile of the new Mahindra pickup concept is complemented by a black grille that features the Mahindra brand logo in the centre, giving it a robust appearance. The firm claims that the addition of tow hooks and a bash plate to the lower portion of the bumper enhances the rough appearance of the car. It comes with a big bonnet and a fog lamp assembly that is enclosed in a black frame. The vehicle's off-road tyres, snorkel for wading through the water, black plastic cladding on the wheel arches, and other features are some of its other design highlights.
As you move to the rear profile, you will notice a rear bumper with two tow hooks, a tailboard with 'Mahindra' badging, vertically stacked taillamps, and a spare wheel inside the bed. Further, a larger load bed area is made available by the enlarged wheelbase.
