Deliveries for all variants of the Mahindra Scorpio-N are expected to start on September 26.
Nearly a month after Mahindra first launched the Scorpio-N in India, the company has revealed the prices of the automatic, 4WD, and six-seat variants of the SUV. The prices start from Rs 15.45 lakh (ex-showroom) for the 2.0-litre petrol Z4 AT in the seven-seat configuration and go to Rs 23.9 lakh for the 2.0-litre Z8L AT in the seven-seater configuration. Bookings for the car will start on July 30, and deliveries are set to begin on September 26.
The Scorpio-N is available in five variants – Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8, and Z8L. Apart from the base Z2, all the other variants are available in both manual and automatic versions, while 4WD is optional in the diesel variant.
Powering the petrol version of the Scorpio-N is a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo engine, which develops 200bhp and 370Nm (manual) / 380Nm (automatic) of torque. Similarly, the diesel version features the familiar 2.2-litre unit that develops 130bhp and 300Nm in the base Z2 variant and 172bhp and 370Nm of torque in higher variants. The power transmission options of the car include a six-speed manual and automatic gearboxes.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N has improved in terms of creature comforts as well. The top variants benefit from features like dual-zone climate control, analogue dials with a large coloured MID, front and rear camera, auto start-stop, cruise control, Type-C USB ports for the first and second row, keyless go, wireless charging, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker 3D Sony sound system, and connected car features. The car also gets Alexa-enabled What3Word, which lets you set your location with a three-word combination.
In line with its stablemates, the new Scorpio-N also gets a sumptuous list of safety features with six airbags, ESP, traction control system, hill-hold control, hill-descent control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a driver drowsiness detection system, and more.
