Mahindra has launched the Scorpio-N Adventure Edition in South Africa, based on the top-spec Z8 4WD variant. The special edition has a more robust exterior than the standard model and can handle challenging environments. It has new, slimmer metal bumpers on both the front and rear, which allow it to have better approach and departure angles. Moreover, the front bumper also includes a tow bar, recovery hooks, high-lift jacking points, auxiliary lighting, and a winch. The Scorpio-N Adventure Edition has a black roof rack and new 18-inch alloy wheels with high-profile terrain-specific tyres.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Adventure Edition: Mechanical Details
The Adventure Edition retains the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, which produces 172bhp and 400Nm. In South Africa, the SUV only comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission, which sends power to all four wheels. The Adventure Edition is equipped with hill hold and hill descent control, an electronic brake-locking differential, a mechanical rear-locking differential, and an all-wheel drive. The SUV is available with multiple terrain modes: Mud, Normal, Snow, Sand, Grass, and Gravel.
Other Mahindra Scorpio-N Highlights
In South Africa, the SUV costs 644,499 Rand (about Rs 29.29 lakh). In India, the standard Scorpio-N is priced between Rs 13.60 lakh and Rs 24.54 lakh (ex-showroom). The India-spec Scorpio-N boasts an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, wireless phone charging, 6-way power driver's seat, and semi-digital instrument cluster. It has six airbags, front and rear cameras, hill-assist control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and electronic stability control (ESC) for safety.
Mahindra XUV 3XO
The newest model in Mahindra's SUV lineup in India is the XUV 3XO, which is essentially an updated version of the XUV300 and additional features and some aesthetic improvements. The SUV is priced between Rs 7.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). According to Mahindra, the XUV 3XO received over 50,000 orders in India in just 60 minutes after bookings opened on May 15 at 10 a.m. Mahindra states that with a 9,000 unit monthly manufacturing cap, over 10,000 SUVs have already been produced.
