Speaking on this initiative, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra said, “At Mahindra, we are delighted to be part of the first ever mega green rally and the largest ever gathering of electric vehicles in the country. We are thankful to the Government of India for championing the cause of sustainable and emission-free mobility solutions for the future.”
“Given the current era of rising concern about global warming and higher fossil fuel costs, this is indeed a drive for a greener and better tomorrow. Further, with the recently announced FAME scheme, the Government has already set in motion a conducive environment for the ownership and adoption of electric vehicles in the country. We at Mahindra are committed to the Future of Mobility,’’ he added.
A fleet of 10 Mahindra e2os, 4 electric Veritos and 1 electric Maxximo took to the streets in what was country’s first ever mega rally, covering 21 kilometres between India Gate and IGI Airport.
