With the BS6 update, the Mahindra KUV 100 NXT is no longer available with a diesel engine. The KUV 100 NXT BS6 is dearer by Rs 22,000 over the outgoing BS4 version.

Prices of the Mahindra KUV 100NXT BS6 are out. The updated version of Mahindra’s crossover hatchback now starts at Rs 5.54 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 7.16 lakh (prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new prices mark a hike of Rs 22,000 across the entire range. As expected, the diesel version of the car has been discontinued with the BS6 upgrade. In addition to that, Mahindra has also ditched the base K2 variant in the new model. This means the car is now available in four variants – K2+, K4+, K6+ and K8.

Apart from being BS6 compliant, the petrol engine is unchanged in terms of specifications from the outgoing BS4 version. It’s the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder unit that produces 82bhp of max power and 115Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as before. There’s still no automated manual transmission or AMT version on offer.

In terms of design, features and equipment, the KUV 100 NXT BS6 is unchanged from its BS4 version. The exterior is identical to the BS4 version, while the interior layout and design haven’t been changed either. The top-end K8 version gets all the bells and whistles, including a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted audio controls, a cooled glovebox, driver’s seat height adjust, et al. ABS and dual airbags are standard across the range.

Here’s the variant-wise pricing (ex-showroom, Delhi) of the Mahindra KUV100 NXT BS6,

K2+ - Rs 5.54 lakh

K4+ - Rs 6.02 lakh

K6+ - Rs 6.53 lakh

K8 - Rs 7.16 lakh
