Mahindra phases out the two-door e2o following the launch of the bigger four-door model in October 2016.
Mahindra’s website no longer lists the two-door version of the e2o and the same is not in the online company brochure for the car either. And it has also been reported that Mahindra Electric has phased out the two-door version of its all electric e2o model. This comes as a move after the company recently launched the bigger four-door model of the car which incidentally also comes with a bigger battery with more driving range.
Priced between Rs. 5.46 lakh to Rs. 8.46 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the four-door Mahindra e2o Plus is a more practical option with a more comfortable rear-seat and easy ingress and egress for rear seat passenger. The e2o Plus is longer, wider and taller with a longer wheelbase as well compared to the compact two-door version of the car. The Mahindra e2o Plus also packs in a 72V battery pack as compared to the smaller model’s 48V battery pack. As a result maximum driving range has gone up to 140 km/h from 110 km/h in the earlier mode.
The Mahindra e2o Plus electric motor is rated at 30kW of power and 91Nm of torque and has a claimed top-speed of 85 km/h.
The Mahindra e2o Plus is available in three variants, namely - P4, P6 and P8.
The two-door Mahindra e2o will continue to remain in production and sold in markets abroad while it will be only available in four-door guise in India.
