Mahindra has launched a special edition variant of the Bolero Power+ for the festive season. Read on to find out what’s new.
The Mahindra Bolero is turning out to be one of those vehicles that refuses to die. Mahindra’s incredibly successful utility vehicle, the Bolero, has been on sale for nearly two decades now. And believe it or not, it is now BS6 compliant and even meets frontal, frontal-offset, and side-impact crash norms! Mahindra has made these upgrades to the structure of the Bolero for it to meet the new mandatory crash norms that have come into play from October 2019 and, as a result, have also fitted the Bolero with an anti-lock braking system and a driver airbag.
And now, fresh from the oven for the 2019 festive season, Mahindra has brought in this new Special Edition variant in the Power+ model with a host of cosmetic embellishments to spruce up its appeal yet again. On this account, the new Mahindra Bolero Power+ Special Edition gets new black plastic cladding for the front bumper, new body graphics, and a rear spoiler with a stop lamp on the outside, while interior upgrades include a steering wheel cover, seat covers, scuff plates, and new carpets.
The Mahindra Bolero Power+ is powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo diesel engine that is good for 70bhp of max power @ 3,600rpm and 195Nm of peak torque spread between 1,400 and 2,200rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels.
Prices for the Mahindra Bolero Power+ range between Rs 7.86 lakh and Rs 8.87 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
