New spy photos of the Mahindra BE.05 with a huge glass roof have recently surfaced online. Currently, the Curvv EV and the Citroen Basalt are the only two compact SUVs with a coupe-like design. While the former comes with a sunroof, the latter does not. With its glass top panel in the SUV Coupe class, the BE.05 is anticipated to be a strong challenger to the Curvv EV. It will also face competition from other vehicles in its segment, including the MG ZS EV, the soon-to-be-released Hyundai Creta EV, and the Maruti Suzuki eVX. Mahindra BE.05: Exterior and Interior
Based on previous spy photos, the electric SUV will likely keep the concept form's design cues, including the C-shaped LED DRLs. It is also expected to include a charging socket on the rear left quarter panel, flush door handles, huge aero wheels, low profile tyres, all-four-disc brakes, a noticeable tailgate, and a race-inspired twin spoiler.
Mahindra hasn't made any official announcements, but the BE.05 is predicted to have several amenities and luxurious interiors. According to the most recent spy photos, it will sport a twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated 'BE' logo in the centre. The steering could be hexagonal or octagonal, with illuminated buttons on either side to operate the infotainment and instrument panel. The display layout for the former and latter may be linked, with a new UI with an EV-centric design and structure. Other possible highlights include a large insert on the centre console, electrically adjustable front seats, and fabric door handles.
Mahindra BE.05: Powertrain
The BE.05 will be underpinned by the company's new EV-specific INGLO platform. It will likely include a 60kWh battery, which may allow it to have a range of up to 450 kilometres on a single charge. The BE.05 will probably offer two-wheel drive as standard, and all-wheel drive for higher-spec configurations.
Mahindra BE.05: Market Availability
