Mahindra plans to make a big move in the next few years towards EVs, or electric vehicles. Images from the Mahindra BE.05 SUV coupe's patent have just gone viral, giving fans a first look at the car's expected final appearance. The BE.05 is set to be released after the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 SUVs, positioning it as Mahindra's third electric vehicle SUV.
All three of Mahindra's electric SUV models—the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, and BE.05—are currently taking part in road tests across the nation. The disclosed patent photos prove an elegant and modern SUV coupe with a well-defined front end and a steeply sloping windscreen. Distinct cuts and wrinkles dot the vehicle's exterior, giving it an angular appearance. In keeping with its contemporary aesthetic, the BE.05 will also have an LED light strip on the back and a panoramic glass roof. The BE.05 SUV is an exciting new addition to Mahindra's expanding lineup of electric vehicles, which the company is preparing for an all-electric future.

Mahindra BE.05: Design Details
An aggressively angled bonnet pointed LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and a small, modern bumper make up the Mahindra BE.05's modern and attractive design. An attractive B-pillar, five-spoke alloy wheels, and outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs) adorn the flanks of the production-ready vehicle.
According to industry rumours, the upcoming BE.05 will have a number of features—including electrically adjustable front seats, a fully digital instrument panel, a standalone touchscreen infotainment system, a large insert on the centre console, fabric door handles, and more—but no interior details have been released just yet.
Mahindra BE.05: Powertrain
The forthcoming BE 05 will be built on the INGLO platform, which is designed specifically for electric vehicles. Although Mahindra has not officially announced the details or power output of the battery pack, many predict that the next electric SUV will have a 60 kWh battery. With such a large battery, the car should be able to go 450km on a single charge. In addition, the technology behind the batteries allows for rapid charging from 5% to 80% in just 30 minutes, with high charging speeds of up to 175kW. Although the BE 05 is likely to feature two-wheel drive as standard, a more expensive trim level may be available with all-wheel drive as an option.
The electric Mahindra BE.05 SUV is reportedly slated to be released in October 2025 with a starting price of approximately Rs 25 lakh.
