Mahindra has stirred India's electric segment with the launch of its two new SUVs: BE 6e and XEV 9e. While both cars have the same powertrain, they differ in terms of interior, exterior, and certain features. The SUVs are available in several variants, including Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3. Currently, the automaker has announced the prices for the Pack 1 configuration, with the BE 6e priced at Rs 18.90 lakh and the XEV 9e at Rs 21.90 lakh (both, ex-showroom). Let's take a closer look at how these two Mahindra EVs compare across their interior and exterior designs.
Mahindra BE 6e vs XEV 9e: Dimensions
The XEV 9e is 418mm longer and 67mm taller than the BE 6e, which gives it a more expansive and commanding presence on the road. Despite this, the two SUVs share the same width and wheelbase, which stands at 2,775mm.

Mahindra BE 6e vs XEV 9e: Exterior Design
Despite the distinct looks and sizes, the Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e borrow certain styling cues from their concepts. The BE 6e differentiates itself with dual-barrel LED projector headlights mounted vertically. The lighted 'BE' logo adds a touch of sophistication to the front profile. In contrast, the XEV 9e has a vertical headlight housing configuration. The 'Infinite Possibilities' logo highlights the premium and forward-thinking design philosophy. The BE 6e is equipped with C-shaped LED DRLs, while the XEV 9e features inverted L-shaped connected DRLs. However, both models come with a closed-off grille. On the lower bumper, the BE 6e incorporates fog lights and a silver skid plate, while the XEV 9e embraces a silver applique. However, unlike its electric sibling, the bigger SUV forgoes the fog lights.

Apart from that, the BE 6e and XEV 9e have flush-fitting front door handles, adding to their sleek and classy appearance. The rear door handles are efficiently integrated into the C-pillar. The black body cladding, window line, and roofline are also the same on both Mahindra EVs. The SUVs have a spoiler installed on the windshield at the back. However, the BE 6e one's design is sharper compared to its sibling.
The XEV 9e's rear bumper features a simpler silver applique, while the BE 6e additionally includes a silver skid plate that is cut in half. Nevertheless, the 'Infinity' symbol on both vehicles' tailgates is the same.
Mahindra BE 6e vs XEV 9e: Interior
The BE 6e's dual-tone interior design and fighter jet-inspired driver's cockpit create a dynamic and futuristic atmosphere. The dual-screen arrangement combines an innovative infotainment system with a driver's display. Along with seat adjustment controls, the vehicle also has distinctive aircraft-inspired switches on the roof. The steering is flat at the top and bottom, offering a sporty, contemporary feel. Other notable features include capacitive touch controls and an aircraft-style gear selector.
The XEV 9e differs from the BE 6e with the three-screen arrangement that consists of a driver's display, an infotainment touchscreen, and an additional co-driver screen.

It has a small gear selector flat-bottomed steering wheel, standard physical controls, and a storage box that opens with one click. In the XEV 9e, seat adjustments are made through buttons on the door panels.
