Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e Bookings Open in India; Prices Start at Rs 18.90 Lakh
In India, the Mahindra BE 6 is priced from Rs 18.90 to Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom), while the XEV 9e ranges from Rs 21.90 to Rs 30.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra has opened bookings for its new electric SUVs, the XEV 9e and BE 6, in India. Customers interested in purchasing either model can secure their booking with a refundable token payment of Rs 21,000. Reservations can be made at authorized dealerships or through Mahindra's official website. Meanwhile, the homegrown carmaker announced it dispatched 1,837 units of the e-SUVs to dealerships across India last month. Deliveries for the Pack Three models are scheduled to start by mid-March 2025, while Pack Two and Pack One variants will be delivered in July and August, respectively. The BE 6 and XEV 9e boast essential EV features like a high-capacity battery, fast-charging support, and connected car technology. These launches are part of Mahindra’s plan to expand its electric vehicle portfolio and cater to the increasing demand for EVs in the country.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Variants and Price Range
The Mahindra BE 6 is available in India with prices ranging from Rs 18.90 lakh to Rs 26.90 lakh and comes in five variants: Pack One, Pack One Above, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three.

The XEV 9e, on the other hand, is priced between Rs 21.90 lakh and Rs 30.50 lakh and is offered in four variants: Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, and Pack Three. All mentioned prices are ex-showroom figures.

Buyers can choose between two charger options – a 7.2kWh unit priced at Rs 50,000 or an 11.2kWh unit for Rs 75,000.
Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e: Battery and Range
The BE 6 and XEV 9e feature a standard 59kWh battery pack, while the larger 79kWh option is exclusive to the top-of-the-line variant. The BE 6 offers a claimed driving range of 557 km with the 59kWh unit, which increases to 683 km with the larger battery. The XEV 9e delivers a similar 557 km range with the smaller battery and extends to 656 km when equipped with the 79kWh pack. Both models have identical power figures, with 228bhp from the 59kWh unit and 282bhp from the 79kWh unit, along with a standard torque of 380Nm.

The BE 6’s features include a pair of 12.3-inch screens, seven airbags, fabric seats, a start-up light sequence, adaptive cruise control, Level 2 ADAS, an AR-based head-up display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, an NFC-enabled key, and rear AC vents for enhanced passenger comfort.

The XEV 9e distinguishes itself with a triple-screen setup, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, and a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Infinity logo. It also features a panoramic glass roof, a tyre pressure monitoring system, front parking sensors, an NFC key, and an electronically adjustable driver’s seat. Additional conveniences include dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, an auto-dimming IRVM, an AR-based head-up display, rear AC vents, two cupholders, and a 1400-watt Harman Kardon audio system with 16 speakers.

Talking about the market competition, the BE 6 will rival models like the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, as well as the MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta Electric, and Tata Curvv EV. Meanwhile, the XEV 9e will compete with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, BYD Atto 3, and the soon-to-launch Tata Harrier EV.
