The Lotus Exige Sport 410 20th Anniversary Special Edition features an array of exterior & interior design cues that hark back to the original Exige model of the year 2000.
The Lotus Exige Series 1 arrived on the two-seater sports car scene way back in 2000 and went on to become one of the most eminent names in its segment. The fact that the model has recently completed 20 years of production bears testimony to the nameplate's success. To commemorate the occasion, Lotus has built a 20th Anniversary Special Edition version of the Exige Sport 410 that pays homage to the original Series 1 Exige.
Outside, a number of panels, like the rear wing, side air intake pods, body-coloured roof & the black ‘shark fin’ stone chip protector (ahead of the rear wheel) have been updated to match the styling cues of the original Series 1 model. A special '20' logo on the rear-wing endplates further adds to the Special Edition model's authenticity. The special edition model can be ordered one of only six exterior colour options, three of which have been selected from the Series 1 Exige's paint palette (Chrome Orange, Laser Blue & Calypso Red).
A unique, commemorative ‘20th Anniversary’ black silhouette logo can be spotted on the front wings and on the rear bumper. Inside, it's been embroidered on the seat back and it can also be found on a build plaque located on the car's dashboard. The Alcantara seats, panelled stitching & some other interior accents match the car's exterior colour - another design trait that will remind customers of the original model.
Also, equipment such as Cruise Control, a DAB digital radio with Bluetooth, ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels and an Alcantara steering wheel, that is optional on the standard Exige Sport 410, will be offered as standard on the Special Edition model. However, there will still be some more optional equipment for customers to choose from, like the carbon fibre sill trim, lightweight lithium-ion battery and a titanium lightweight exhaust.
