Lotus has unveiled two new models in India ahead of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025: the all-electric Emeya Grand Tourer (GT) and the Emira sports car. Priced at Rs 2.3 crore (ex-showroom) and Rs 3.2 crore (ex-showroom) respectively, both cars will be imported as Completely Built Units (CBUs). The Emeya, an all-electric Grand Tourer, competes with the Audi RS e-tron GT and Porsche Taycan. The Emira, a two-door sports car with an internal combustion engine, takes on the Porsche 718 Cayman. Lotus entered the Indian market last year with the Electre electric SUV. With these two models, Lotus now offers three vehicles in India.
Lotus Emeya
The Emeya is offered in six colour options: Fireglow Orange, Boreal Grey, Akoya White, Stellar Black, Solar Yellow, and Kaimu Grey. The luxury super saloon features a bold, contemporary design with a coupe-like roofline that gently slopes from the B-pillar to the rear deck. The profile is sleek, with minimal lines and distinct rear haunches. The front is marked by a quad DRL configuration, with horizontal headlights placed lower within the front bumper’s cutouts. At the back, a wide horizontal taillight spans the entire width of the nearly squared-off rear, adding to its striking appearance.

The Emeya's cabin boasts a dual-tone colour scheme and a 15.1-inch centre screen commands attention, offering intuitive control and enhancing the tech-forward atmosphere. The use of high-quality materials, including exquisite carbon fibre accents, underscores the vehicle's premium nature. Strategically placed ambient lighting elevates the cabin’s vibe, while the flat-bottom steering wheel brings a sporty flair to the space. The cabin is also equipped with a 55-inch heads-up display, delivering crucial information without distracting from the road. Features-wise, the Emeya has a 15-speaker audio, front and rear parking sensors and a 360-degree camera. It also includes an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) for enhanced safety.
The Emeya gets a 102kWh battery with a claimed range of 610km. Its electric motors produce 905bhp and 675Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in just 2.8 seconds. The car has a top speed of 260km/h.
Lotus Emira
As far as paint jobs are concerned, the V6 and Turbo models are offered in the Vivid Red option, whereas the Turbo SE version comes in the Zine Grey shade. The design of the car takes cues from the spectacular Evija hypercar. The sharp cuts and sculpted scoops give it a sleek, shark-like profile. It features vertically aligned headlights with a twin-blade design at the front. The vehicle is outfitted with striking 20-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, complementing its athletic styling. Two large exhaust tips further enhance its sporty character. At the rear, the car maintains a clean yet bold look, with horizontal LED tail lights and an aggressive bumper design.
The interior of the Lotus Emira combines sporty flair with luxurious comfort, starting with its bold, flat-bottom steering wheel that sets the tone for the cabin. Both driver and passenger enjoy the convenience of 12-way electrically adjustable sports seats, ensuring exceptional comfort and support. The cabin is also equipped with high-end features such as a premium 10-speaker sound system, a 12.3-inch digital display for the driver, parking sensors, ambient lighting, and cutting-edge driver-assistance technologies. Additional conveniences include rain-sensing wipers and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, complete with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
The Lotus Emira in India comes with two engine options: The AMG-sourced engine comes in two states of tune: 360hp and 430Nm of torque for the Turbo variant and 401bhp and 480Nm of torque for the Turbo SE. The V6 produces 396bhp and 420Nm of peak torque.
