Mini offers a cool celebratory limited edition model in India to celebrate 60 years of the original model.

Joining in the festive mood, Mini India has exclusively launched a limited run edition of the Cooper S in India on the Amazon India website. Badged as the Mini Cooper Oxford Edition, this spicy little Mini comes loaded with the ‘works’ literally and is priced at Rs. 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom).

Limited to 25 units, the Oxford Edition Mini Cooper can be had in a choice of two paint shades, Solaris Orange or Midnight Black. The Solaris Orange version gets black accents on the roof and ORVM casings while the Midnight Black version gets Solaris Orange inserts. Both cars get plenty of piano black inserts around the grille, fuel filler lid, door handles, head light surrounds and tail light surrounds. The cosmetic enhancements don’t end there as the cars get a John Cooper Works body kit and rear spoiler, customised door sill LEDs, LED puddle lamps, customised Oxford and Union Jack inscribed side scuttles, 17-inch track spoke alloys and those cool Union Jack design tail lamps.

On the inside, the limited edition car gets an illuminated piano black dash in front of the co-passenger alongside a host of equipment ranging from the 8.8-inch touchscreen display with the Mini Wired package, heads-up display and more. The interior of these cars can be specified either with Chester Malt Brown upholstery or Carbon Black upholstery.

And since this is a Cooper S, you get that happy 2.0 litre, turbo petrol motor that’s good for 189bhp of max power and 280Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a seven-speed double clutch automatic gearbox and the car has a claimed 0 – 100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds.

Now that’s a proper festive model offer we say!
