A body kit and other cosmetic enhancements define the new Baleno limited edition.
Following the introduction of the limited edition version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, the Japanese automotive major has now listed a new limited edition version of its Baleno premium hatchback on its Nexa website. The limited edition Maruti Suzuki Baleno gets a few cosmetic enhancements to justify the limited edition tag. These enhancements come in the form of a body kit that gives it redesigned front and rear bumper lips, side skirts and door mouldings that round up the exterior updates. On the inside, the Baleno limited edition gets new quilted design seat covers, new floor mats, illuminated scuff plates on the door sills, rear seat cushions, a tissue holder and a smart key finder.
There are no mechanical updates to the limited edition Baleno and it will continue to be sold with its 1.2 litre petrol manual and automatic powertrains as well as the 1.3 litre diesel manual version. The kit for the limited edition Baleno however makes little sense for the range topping Baleno RS since it comes with a body kit as standard.
Prices for the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Limited Edition range between Rs. 5.38 lakh for the base petrol variant and goes up all the way to Rs. 8.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the top-end diesel version. While Maruti Suzuki has not listed the price of the limited edition version, expect to be around Rs. 30,000 higher than that of the standard versions. And since this is a kit, expect it to be available in multiple variants of the Baleno. Of course, the absence of a smart key in lower end variants will mean that customers will be able to negate the smart key finder feature and hence cut down on the price of the limited edition kit.
