Lexus turned to the SUV world and took everyone by surprise when it came out with the RX300. This was the main reason why crossovers became so popular. But at the Frankfurt Motor show, Lexus is going beyond just a crossover or just an SUV.  It’s previewing its concept baby SUV, the sexy looking LF-NX

The LF-NX keeps in line with Lexus’s latest L-finesse design theme, and hence you see the sharp and angular body on this concept. The brand’s signature spindle grille dominates the front end, which also features a domed hood and ultra-thin headlights. LED running lights adorn the front and stand apart from the main headlamp units.

Inside the approach is more minimalistic. The LF-NX concept gets black and sunrise yellow leather with splashes of bright metal and deep blue lighting. A large panel ahead of the shifter features ribs separates different touch-sensitive electrostatic controls, while a new take on Lexus’s Remote Touch mouse interface lives on the center console.

But don’t go on the aggressive looks of this concept and come to the conclusion that it’ll be a fuel guzzler. Lexus has powered the LF-NX concept with a gas-electric hybrid powertrain.

Tuned for SUV performance, Lexus has still not let in on the details but once it’s unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor show we’ll know for sure. So we don’t want to conjure some odd figures for now. We’ll get you the right one’s when we lay our hands on it.
