A voluntary recall has been announced for the LS, NX, and RX cars by Toyota's premium division, Lexus India. The purpose of the recall is to inspect and replace any malfunctioning front- or rear-view cameras on the impacted cars. The recall covers the following vehicles: the Lexus RX manufactured between May 9, 2023, and August 8, 2023; the Lexus NX produced between January 17, 2023, and February 24, 2023; and the LS 500 and LS 500h manufactured between April 20, 2023, and August 9, 2023. A total of 113 units have been affected. The company will contact individual customers through its dealerships as part of the servicing campaign. It is important to note that the faulty components will be replaced by the manufacturer free of cost.

Additionally, Lexus India has affirmed that no cases of the models' defective cameras have been reported. The RX and NX belong to the brand's luxury SUV lineup, while the LS is its flagship sedan. In India, all three models come equipped with hybrid drivetrains.

Lexus India Introduces 8-year/1.60 Lakh Km Warranty
Lexus India has announced an 8-year/1.60 lakh kilometres vehicle warranty for all new Lexus vehicles sold in India beginning June 1, 2024. This is an increase from the previous warranty of 3-year/1 lakh kilometres. According to the brand, this ensures that each Lexus vehicle maintains its reputation for enhanced safety and craftsmanship. In addition to an extended warranty, Lexus India will provide personalised services like financing, insurance, roadside assistance, and servicing options. The Japanese carmaker's India portfolio comprises models like the NX, RX, LX, ES, and LM.
