Stellantis-backed Leapmotor has showcased the first model in its B series at the ongoing Paris Motor Show. Called the B10, the model is a compact electric SUV based on the Leap 3.5 platform and, being a global car, the model will be launched in multiple markets next year. It has a closed-off grille, a large air intake, and split headlamps with daytime running lamps at the front. The flush-fitting door handles along the sides help reduce wind noise. At the rear, the vehicle features full-width LED taillamps with the Leapmotor badging.

The interior details are yet to be revealed. However, the advanced Leap 3.5 platform is said to provide cutting-edge features such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a customisable digital cockpit, and intelligent driving capabilities. According to the Chinese EV brand, the new B10 is built to 'meet the needs of tech-savvy, eco-conscious consumers looking for an electric vehicle that blends style, performance, and advanced technology.'

Like the interior, the technical details of the B10 are under wraps; expect the vehicle to get both electric and hybrid powertrain options. In the international market, the Leapmotor B10 will go up against other electric SUVs like the BMW iX1, Peugeot E-3008, and the Ford Explorer.

Leapmotor C16 Showcased Too

Also on display alongside the B10 was the C16 mid-size SUV in France. The Leapmotor C16 is a stretched version of the C10 (4,898mm), measuring 4,915mm long. It has a 2,825mm-long wheelbase and comes in a 2+2+2 seating configuration. The C16 offers a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive setup with 288bhp and 360Nm of torque. The motor draws power from a 68kWh  LFP battery, which can be charged from 30 to 80 per cent in 15 minutes.
