Land Rover has produced off-road vehicles to rival the best in the world, and having done that for the past 65 years they are just getting better at it. The most famous of all these off-roaders was the Defender and in lieu of this anniversary celebration, Land Rover turned the Defender into something that it never has been - a luxury off-roader.
The Land Rover Defender LXV (Roman for 65)- as it is called- gets the standard 2.2-litre diesel engine and a six-speed manual transmission. With 120 bhp and 359 Nm@2000 rpm, this hard top LXV stands tall on 16-inch sawtooth alloy wheels.
Only 65 will be produced with leather trimmed interior, LXV-embossed seats and orange stitching on the seats and steering wheel. It is certain that Land Rover will not struggle to find buyers for the Defender LXV and with 65 cars up for grabs who will be among the lucky few we wonder?
