Lamborghini is preparing to launch the new entry-level SUV in the Indian market, called the Urus S, which will be the updated version of the Urus. The Urus S is the second variant in the line-up that will go on sale on April 13 this year, as confirmed by the company. It borrows design cues from the Urus Performante, which was launched last year as a performance-focused SUV. On the other hand, the Urus S is upgraded with more luxury features on offer. The upcoming Urus S is expected to sit below the Urus Performante and will replace the outgoing Urus SUV. Apart from the regular driving modes (Strada, Sport, Corsa), the new Urus S will come with 3 off-road modes - Terra, Neve, Sabbia.

New Lamborghini Urus S: Engine & Performance details
Starting off with its powertrain, the new Urus S will use a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that also powers the Urus Performante. The engine is good enough for producing 666bhp of maximum power and 850Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. According to the company, the new SUV can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the Urus Performante. It has a claimed top speed of 305km/h.
The new Urus S will be available with the same adaptive air suspension when we compare it to the Performante SUV. In the performance-focused model, sporty fixed coil springs are used in place of air suspension
New Lamborghini Urus S: Exterior
The Urus Performante is the inspiration behind the new Urus S's design. The exterior of the upcoming Urus S receives a significant increase in options in the form of colour schemes, wheels, trim, style packages, and customisation.
Once launched, the new car will be available with reworked bumpers on both ends, new wheel arches, a carbon-fibre hood, a vented bonnet that receives carbon-fibre treatment, a front steel skid plate with matte black coating, and quad exhaust outlets at the back. Weighing 47kg more than the Performante, the SUV comes in standard 22- and optional 23-inch wheel sizes with new designs.
New Lamborghini Urus S: Interior and Features
The interior of the Urus S gets a two-toned theme with contrast stitching and trim inserts. It has leather surfaces as opposed to the Alcantara upholstery of the Urus Performante. Its more luxury-focused cabin offers connectivity services such as state-of-the-art navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In addition, the car also comes with security features and in-car control services like remote parking using a Lamborghini Unica app.
