Automobili Lamborghini has unveiled a new version of the popular Lamborghini Urus Performante, specially designed for the Italian police force, and it looks ready for duty. The Sant’Agata Bolognese-based carmaker delivered the performance car to the police force in a ceremony that took place on December 12 in Rome's Piazza del Viminale, outside the Ministry of the Interior headquarters. In attendance were the PM Giorgia Meloni; the Minister of the Interior, Matteo Piantedosi; the Head of Police, Vittorio Pisani, and the President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann.
The fastest production SUV at Pikes Peak is the sixth model from the automaker to enter the Highway Police fleet, celebrating a 20-year partnership between Automobili Lamborghini and the Italian State Police. This raging bull now joins the ranks of the Huracan LP 610-4 and others used for special services, including urgent medical organ transports. It has a refrigeration system in the luggage compartment for transporting organs and plasma.

Lamborghini Urus Performante Polizia: Exterior Design
Designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile, the Lamborghini Urus Performante Polizia sports a blue-dominant livery, combining the Italian State Police's classic blue shade with white, rounded off with police logos on the doors and the Italian flag motif on the sills. Other visual bits are a two-tone electric siren as well as a roof-mounted LED blue light bar.

Inside, the car features updates in the form of an armoured weapon box, a defibrillator for first aid response, a flip-down message display, and a special compartment in the trunk for storing service equipment, all indispensable for the public security service. Notably, a portable fridge for transporting organs is also available, including a display and data logger for monitoring the internal temperature.
Lamborghini Urus Performante Polizia: Powertrain
Under the bonnet, the Urus Performante Polizia comes equipped with a twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 657bhp and 850Nm of torque at engine speeds from 2,300 to 4,500rpm. With this output at its disposal, the SUV goes from 0 to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds. Meanwhile, the top speed is marked at 306km/h.
