Sports car maker Lamborghini has unveiled the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster on the occasion of Monterey Car week in California.

Powered by a 6.5-litre V12 engine, the Aventador Superveloce Roadster produces 750bhp, 50bhp more than its non-Superveloce sibling. No wonder it races from 0 to 100 km/hr in 2.9 seconds before topping out at over 350 km/hr!

‘‘The Superveloce is the purest, most sports-oriented and fastest series production Lamborghini ever. The Roadster version represents our commitment to satisfying our passionate clients with immensely emotional driving dynamics combined with an extraordinary open air experience,’’ Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said during the press conference at The Quail.

Lamborghini’s latest offering is fitted with rear power windows, allowing the free-flowing engine sound to fill the cabin. It also comes with a two-piece hardtop made from carbon fibre.

The Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce Roadster will go on sale in early 2016 and will come with a hefty price tag of 357,000 Euros (excl. VAT) or Rs 2.68 crore . Only 500 units will go on sale worldwide to maintain exclusivity.
