Italian luxury and sports car brand Lamborghini has confirmed that a roadster version of the Aventador Superveloce is in the works. The roadster will be limited to just 500 units worldwide to maintain exclusivity.
The announcement was made at the recently concluded Goodwood Festival of Speed where the coupe version of Aventador Superveloce made its UK debut.
‘’The Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce is the most pure, sports-oriented and emotional incarnation of a Lamborghini, and all 6000 units have been sold, with first deliveries starting now. We will also produce a roadster version, which our dealers worldwide are now taking orders for,” confirmed Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Lamborghini.
Lamborghini showed first glimpse of Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. The car rockets from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds (close to F1 territory), before topping at around 325 km/h.The company says it produces 50 bhp more than the standard Aventador LP 700-4.
