Lamborghini has unveiled the plug-in hybrid replacement for the iconic Huracan at the Monterey Car Week 2024. Called the Temerario, the supercar is the company's third hybrid following the Revuelto and the Urus SE. It has a new 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine and three e-motors (two on the front axle and one placed between the engine and gearbox), producing 907bhp and 800Nm in total. The new V8 produces 789bhp and 729Nm on its own, with a rev limit of 10,000rpm. It comes with an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that distributes power to all four wheels. The electric motors, on the other hand, develop 146bhp. Notably, the two motors in the front allow for torque vectoring, all-wheel drive, and the transformation of the Temerario into a front-wheel drive electric vehicle (EV) when in Citta (city) mode. However, the third motor (positioned between the V8 and the gearbox) serves as a starter generator and a 'torque gap filler.' The vehicle is fitted with a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Performance-wise, the supercar has a top speed of 343km/h and a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 2.7 seconds. Read on for more details on the new hybrid from Lamborghini.

Lamborghini Temerario: Design
The new Temerario embodies the essence of a Lamborghini, with clean and simple lines, small and compact overhangs, streamlined aerodynamics, and a prominent shark snout. It marks a departure from the Ypsilon's style, with a distinct hexagonal theme throughout. The front end is low and flat, with slim and twin-barrel projector headlights integrated into the carefully sculpted hood. The muscular front bumper is complemented by robust, angular air intakes, hexagonal lighting elements, and a large splitter. When viewed from the side, the Temerario isn't as slim as the Huracan. It features a broader aerodynamic vent ahead of the rear wheels, which raises downforce by 103% over the Huracan Evo. The car rolls on Y-spoke alloy wheels. The rear design is made up of a sizable diffuser, hexagon-shaped LED taillights, and a centre exhaust.
Lamborghini Temerario: Interior and Other Details
The supercar's interior is reminiscent of the company's flagship Revuelto, with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9.1-inch auxiliary screen on the passenger side, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an 8.4-inch central touchscreen. Other notable highlights include an 18-way adjustable, heated, and ventilated seat; a standard start/stop button beneath a red flap; use of premium materials, including carbon, leather, and suede; Lamborghini Vision Unit (LAVU) system; and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus the car offers three powertrain modes (Recharge, Hybrid, and Performance), along with five drive modes – Città/city, Strada/Street, Sport, Corsa (Race), and Corsa Plus (Race Plus).
There are two new exterior paint colors available for the Temerario: Blu Marinus and Verde Mercurius. However, Lamborghini claims that its Ad Personam customising division will provide over 400 colours and unique liveries to suit customer preferences. The car will be offered with three distinct wheel designs, measuring 20 inches (front) and 21 inches (rear) at the rear and wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza Sport or Potenza Race tyres. Customers can choose the seats in a variety of colours and with four distinct stitch patterns, and opt for carbon-fibre trim both inside and out. The Alleggerita package, which is lightweight, is also on offer.
Lamborghini Temerario: India Launch
Although Lamborghini has not released the pricing, the supercar is expected to go on sale globally by early 2025, followed by the Indian debut.
