After getting the prestigious award last year, Lamborghini has once again proved that it not only brings smiles to its customers, but also its employees.
An award that is given to one of the companies having at least 250 employees nationally or 2,500 employees internationally, Lamborghini has bagged the Top Employer Italy award for the second consecutive year after a stringent and structured investigation. The award is given after considering nine ‘very important’ parameters like salary policies, working conditions and benefits, training and professional growth, career opportunities and corporate culture.
At present, Automobili Lamborghini has 1,175 employees at its Bolognese headquarters where, in the last four years, more than 500 employees have been hired. This also showcases the fact that the company is scaling charts in terms of sales and money figures.
Commenting on receiving the award, Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Automobili Lamborghini commented, “Our success is the result of the hard work and dedication of the women and men who work for us. With their professionalism and passion, they contribute every day to achieving the most ambitious business objectives. Continuous investment in our people and their professional development are key elements in becoming an increasingly attractive employer and achieving high standards of quality and excellence.’’
One of the reasons Lamborghini was awarded this prestigious prize is the introduction of DESI (Dual Education System Italy) – an innovative educational program that helps young people acquire effective technical and educational tools to make them fit for entering the job market.
Adding more to what Mr. Winkelmann said, Umberto Tossini, Human Resources and Organisation Manager at Automobili Lamborghini said, “Our vision of Corporate Responsibility is based on the sustainable development of the economy, society and the environment, and it guides us in advancing a method of management centered on people. In this regard we have developed a number of important projects, such as the DESI program, which aims to combine scholastic education with in-house vocational training, but also a comprehensive People Care program centered around training, individuals, well-being and the environment.”
