Only 5 months after the global unveil Lamborghini is all set to launch the Huracan Tecnica in India.
A few months after it was globally unveiled in April this year, Lamborghini will be launching the Huracan Tecnica on August 25 in India. The Tecnica will be placed between the standard Huracan Evo and its track-focused STO version, both of which are already on sale in India.
Tecnica’s placement between the Evo and STO versions goes beyond its price. The car is touted to be the balance between the two as well, due to which, Lamborghini claims that it is the most versatile of the range. Powering the car is the same unit as the STO – a 640-hp, 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that sends all the juice to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. However, it misses out on the elaborate aero trickeries from the latter.
Instead, the Huracan Tecnica finds its roots in the Sian hybrid hypercar, which in turn is based on the Aventador. The car gets similar angular bodywork as the Sian at the front and the back. There is a more prominent diffuser at the back as compared to the Evo along with a fixed rear spoiler.
As standard, the car gets rear-wheel steering, carbon ceramic brakes as well a carbon-fibre bonnet. All this contributes to a 0-100kmph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 325kmph. The car rivals the Porsche 911 GT3 and Lamborghini say that it has prioritized driver involvement with genuinely approachable on-the-limit handling being the priority.
