Lamborghini will offer only 1,499 Huracan Sterrato models globally.
The Huracan Sterrato has been launched by Lamborghini in India at a staggering price of ₹4.61 crores (ex-showroom). Bookings for the car are already being accepted, and deliveries will begin in the third quarter of 2023, or by the end of next year. The newly launched model, which was unveiled during Art Basel in Miami in November 2022, is nearly comparable to the Huracan Sterrato concept, which was showcased in June 2019.
The Porsche 911 Dakar's rival from Lamborghini has undergone a number of substantial technical and cosmetic upgrades, including a large amount of body cladding, roof rails, revised front and rear bumpers, a roof-mounted scoop, 19-inch Bridgestone tyres, cast aluminium alloy wheels, and rally-style front bumper-mounted lighting.
The Sterrato uses a blend of carbon fibre and aluminium, just like other Huracan models. It also gets 380mm front and 356mm rear carbon ceramic brakes. The suspension has been adjusted, and Lamborghini has improved the ride height as well. It's now 44mm higher than the Huracan EVO.
The Huracan Sterrato's 5,204cc naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine produces 560Nm of torque at 6,500rpm and 602bhp at 8,000rpm. It is coupled with an all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Huracan Sterrato can accelerate from a complete halt to 100km/h in only 3.4 seconds and to 200km/h in just 9.8 seconds. Its top speed is 260km/h.
With the exception of a few modifications like new 'Sterrato' graphics for the touchscreen system and driver's display, a compass, a steering angle indicator, and a digital inclinometer, the interior design of the Sterrato is mostly unchanged. Another unique feature of the sports vehicle is the Alcantara Verde Sterrato upholstery for the seats.
Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics is another feature of the Huracan Sterrato (LDVI). The rally-inspired sports car benefits from the new Rally driving mode, which debuted with the Urus Performante, in addition to the Sport and Strada modes. The Rally mode for the Urus Performante claims to offer a pleasant driving experience on surfaces with little traction.
The Huracan Sterrato's only rival internationally is the Porsche 911 Dakar. However, there won't be any direct competition for the off-road capable Huracan in India.
