A year after its global debut, Lamborghini is all set to bring in the Huracan Evo RWD Spyder to Indian shores on 8th June. As the name rightly suggests, this one is the soft-top iteration of the Huracan Evo RWD that was launched in India last year.

At the back, this one too comes fitted with the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 that pushes out an identical 602bhp and 560Nm. On account of the addition of the roof mechanism and in the process of improving the structural rigidity, the Spyder weighs 120kg more than the standard trim. Despite the increase in weight, the Huracan Evo RWD Spider blitzes past the 100km/h mark in just 3.5 seconds – just two-tenths of a second slower than the hard-top model.

Lamborghini claims that the roof can be stowed/closed in just 17 seconds at speed of up to 50km/h. In addition to the heavy customisation options Lamborghini offers across its model range, customers can choose from a range of colours for the soft top.

The Spyder shares its design details with the Coupe. Right from the front splitter and vertical fins, and that beautifully sculpted front bumper with the sharply cut out air intakes, and those razor-edged headlights, everything is a photocopy of the Coupe. The differences are a lot more easily noticeable from the all-wheel-drive variants though.

Expect the Lamborghini Huracan Evo RWD Spyder to be launched around the Rs 3.5 crore mark. Globally, Lamborghini has just announced that their entire portfolio will make a switch to electrification by 2024 and their first all-electric model will make its debut before 2030.
