After dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai, Lamborghini Bengaluru will be India’s third Lamborghini dealership.

Lamborghini, the Italian luxury sports car manufacturer, has decided to expand its wings in India. And proving the same, it has opened its third dealership in India in the metro city of Bangalore. This state-of-the-art dealership will provide the world-class experience that Lamborghini is known for by providing personalised service from the global servicing team.

Inaugurating the dealership, Mr. Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. said, “India holds a good potential and recognizing this, Lamborghini is among the early entrants of the super-luxury sports car brands to establish itself in this country. Today, the audience here for Lamborghini is far wider than just its owners. The brand is recognised and appreciated for its pure design and cutting-edge technology. India is an important market for us, and I look forward to continuing our success and commitment in India.”

At present, Lamborghini has just two cars in its portfolio – the recently launched but highly successful Huracan and the flagship product of Lamborghini, the Aventador. Considering the trend the luxury car segment in India has witnessed in recent times, Lamborghini might end up outdoing its sales figure of 2013. The sales figures are not really encouraging in terms of volumes as these cars attract import duty that can range as high as 170% in some cases.

“We sold 22 cars in India last year, a growth of 29% over the sales of 2012. We do not expect better sales this year due to very high amount of import duty in the country, which is as high as 167%,” Mr. Winkelmann added.

Roughly two months ago, Lamborghini had launched its Huracan LP 610-4 at Rs 3.43 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi).
