Lamborghini has decided to respect its long friendship with the Italian tyre manufacturer – Pirelli – by launching a limited edition Aventador Pirelli Edition.
How can someone make a car like the mighty Aventador feel inferior? Simple, by launching a limited edition Aventador. That’s exactly what Lamborghini has done. It recently announced that it will produce a highly exclusive Aventador LP 700-4 Pirelli Edition to celebrate the long and ongoing history of collaboration with the prestigious Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli.
The history of new model dates back to 1963 – the year in which it was founded – and both have been working together since then. Apart from the Italian blood that runs in their veins, they both are known to be technological marvels in their own domain.
The new variant will have all the features the Aventador is known for - carbon fibre monocoque, the V12 engine, pushrod suspensions and the permanent all-wheel drive. The new special series will be enhanced by “adding exclusive equipment specially designed by the Lamborghini Centro Stile.”
Two options of two-tone colour schemes will be available. The first one will have matte black for the roof, the pillars, the rearview mirrors, the engine hood, and the front, rear, side and moving air intakes, in contrast with six glossy finishes for the rest of the body – Giallo Spica, Rosso Mars, Bianco Isis, Nero Aldebaran, Grigio Liqueo and Grigio Ater. The second option will have glossy black for the upper parts of the car and the air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior – Bianco Canopus, Nero Nemesis, Grigio Adamas and Grigio Titans.
Regardless of what finish one chooses, all of these Aventadors will have a thin, red stripe over the roof, engine cover, mirrors and air intakes. The whole look is completed with red brake calipers (yellow for Rosso Mars models) and gloss-black wheels. No prizes for guessing, these editions will arrive with a set of Pirelli tyres.
The new edition will be available in Coupe and Roadster versions and can be ordered now on through the Lamborghini dealers. Delivery is expected to start from early summer 2015.
