Kia has released another teaser for its upcoming Syros SUV, which is scheduled to debut on December 19. The teaser showcases a light blue exterior and vertical LED headlamps, demonstrating the SUV’s sleek and modern design. The Syros will be positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in Kia's lineup. The SUV will likely appeal to a wide range of customers, blending practicality with innovative design elements. The model will also be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo, where its pricing is expected to be revealed. As anticipation builds ahead of its official unveiling, the Syros is set to become a noteworthy addition to Kia's lineup, further strengthening the brand’s presence in the competitive SUV segment.
Kia Syros Latest Teaser
The South Korean automaker has been gradually unveiling features of the upcoming Syros SUV through a series of teasers. As mentioned before, the latest teaser highlights significant design elements, offering a closer look at the vehicle's styling. In the teaser, the Syros showcases a bold and modern design, highlighted by vertically stacked LED headlamps with a cube-like shape, paired with DRLs inspired by the new Carnival.
The side profile boasts unique touches, including a blacked-out C-pillar for a cohesive rear design, flush door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and roof rails. Furthermore, the rear profile stands out with its boxy structure and L-shaped LED taillights surrounding the rear windshield.

Previous teasers have hinted at premium features like a two-spoke steering wheel with the Kia logo, automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, a floating touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, auto air conditioning, parking sensors, new gear selector lever, engine start/stop button, terrain modes, and type-C charging ports. The car may also come equipped with ISOFIX child seat mounts, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, ventilated front seats, an ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) suite, and six airbags as standard.
Kia Syros: Powertrain
The model is anticipated to be driven by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, generating 118bhp of maximum power and 172Nm of peak torque. This mill could be paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Additionally, a 1.5-litre diesel engine option may be available, producing 116bhp and 250Nm of torque, providing more choices for potential buyers. Kia might introduce an electric powertrain in the lineup next year. Both versions will be available in a front-wheel-drive configuration and based on the same platform.

The ICE variant of the Syros is expected to be priced higher than the Sonet, which carries a starting price tag of Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch in India, the car will take on the likes of the Nissan Magnite, Toyota Taisor, Skoda Kylaq, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Tata Curvv, and the Mahindra XUV 3XO.
