Kia Syros SUV Mileage Revealed Ahead Of India Launch in February
The Kia Syros offers two engine options: a 1.0-litre Smartstream T-GDi petrol engine (118bhp/172Nm) and a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine (114bhp/250Nm).
Kia India has revealed the fuel efficiency details for its soon-to-be-launched Syros SUV, with deliveries expected to begin next month. Bookings are currently open, and the official pricing will be disclosed on February 1. The Syros has already been showcased to the public, including an appearance at the Auto Expo 2025. The Syros offers two engine options: a 1.0-litre Smartstream T-GDi petrol engine (118bhp/172Nm) and a 1.5-litre CRDi VGT diesel engine (114bhp/250Nm). The petrol mill is available with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT, while the diesel engine comes with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures show the diesel variant achieving 20.75km/l with the manual and 17.65km/l with the automatic, while the petrol version delivers 18.20km/l with the manual and 17.68km/l with the DCT.

The SUV's exterior boasts a striking blanked-out tiger nose grille, a clamshell bonnet with the Kia logo, vertically stacked LED headlamps, LED DRLs, and a bold air intake. Its side profile is accentuated by dual-tone alloy wheels, silver roof rails, flush door handles, and 17-inch wheels with black cladding.

At the rear, the design is completed with L-shaped taillights, an integrated spoiler, and a shark-fin antenna, giving it a sporty and contemporary appearance.
Kia Syros SUV: Interior and Features
The Kia Syros distinguishes itself with impressive dual 12.3-inch displays, outclassing the Sonet's 10.25-inch screens. It offers a host of premium features, including 64-colour ambient lighting, automatic up/down windows, a Harman/Kardon eight-speaker sound system, a two-spoke steering wheel with the Kia emblem, and ventillated seating for all passengers.
Other features include dual-zone climate control, front parking sensors, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, push-button start, Type-C charging ports, wireless charging, and wireless support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Drivers can choose from three terrain modes: Mud, Snow/Wet, and Sand.
Kia Syros SUV: Safety Suite
On the safety front, the Syros is equipped with electronic stability control (ESC), ABS with EBD, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), and six airbags as standard.
Additionally, it features Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with 16 autonomous functions, such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, high-beam assist, and autonomous emergency braking, enhancing safety and convenience.

The Syros is expected to have a starting price of Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom), competing in the sub-compact SUV segment against rivals such as the Tata Curvv, Mahindra XUV300, Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Toyota Hyryder, Hyundai Venue, Volkswagen Taigun, Honda Elevate, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Citroen Basalt, Kia Seltos, and MG Astor.
